You got to go and see maestro Eduardo Marturet conducting the Miami Symphony at the Design District. So inspiring!! It is an amazing artistic public happening, amazing music for free in the heart of Palm Court, which will make an impact on you and make you enjoy the most incredible performance in this beautiful space. Miami Symphony`s (Miso) first Pop Up Series at Miami Design District with the Miami symphony under Music Director & Conductor Eduardo Marturet , actress Athina Klioumi performing as Scheherazade and amazing MISO artists was absolutely beautiful. From Scheherazade to fusion of rock & salsa presented in a very classy & innovative way, there was something for everybody and every age.
An amazing, fresh, classy & unique performance and in the same time, “so Miami” enchanted the audience at the beautiful heart of the Miami Design District.
Guests coming from everywhere flooded the Palm Court for the first edition of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and the Miami Design District`s Miami Symphony Pop Up series. Showcasing Music in Unexpected Spaces, the admission free concert featured a unique, fresh repertoire of performances including Finlandia by Sibelius, Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade, a powerful and beautiful performance by actress Athina Klioumi, Puccini - Nessun Dorma by the new young star Shakiya, little piano star with her toy piano Julia Bueno, salsa-symphonic by Lena Burke and rock-symphonic tunes by guitarist of the feature ¨Rock of Ages¨ with Tom Cruise, Brev Sullivan, were all one surprise after the other.
The Three Cornered Hat by Manuel de Falla was sublime and added more magic at the so beautiful setting at the Palm Court. Actress Athina Klioumi performing her version of Scheherazade was wearing extraordinary jewels by Bvlgari ( Bvlgary store) and a fairytale dress designed by haute couture designer Angel Sanchez. She was spotted in different places every time of her narration, really embodying a real princess. Her fairy tale manifestation made it quite difficult for her bodyguards who stood next to her, to protect her from all the fans, specially the younger ones who wanted a selfie with her. The event was not only artistic, classy and entertaining, but also magic and very celebrative. As founder Craig Robin said in his CNN interview: “We even planned little rain, so people could shop in the surrounding beautiful stores”. Children, teens, grown ups and elderly were totally enchanted and would not leave. After the cloud passed by, conductor Marturet went on with this terrific performance and more people flooded the space, enjoying until the end. Big standing ovation and maestro and his wife Athina and their friends walked around this so beautiful space, visiting the lovely shops and having champagne. What an amazing spirit, what an amazing night! As Maestro said: “This is my idea of bringing amazing music & art to the people and Miami Design District has the same vision. So happy to support them.”

La Orquestra Sinfonica de Miami ( MISO) y su Primer Pop Up Series en el Miami Design District en Miami con la Orquesta Sinfonica de Miami y su Director Musical & Conductor Eduardo Marturet, la actriz Athina Klioumi interpretando a Scheherezade y los increíbles Artistas de la MISO presentaron algo fuera de serie. Para todos los gustos había algo. Cuentos de 1000 y una noche narrado por Athina como Scheherazade, fusiones sinfónicos de rock y salsa , esto y mas era este repertorio, innovador y muy artístico.
Clásico y original y a la vez “ Muy Miami”, La Miami Symphony enamoró a la audiencia en este hermoso corazón del Miami Design District.
Los invitados procedentes de todas partes inundaron al Palm Court para la primera edición de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Miami en su serie MISO Pop Up del Design District de Miami. Presentando música en "espacios inesperados", el concierto gratuito ofreció un repertorio único y fresco. Finlandia de Sibelius, Scheherezade by Rimsky-Korsakov , con la actuación poderosa y hermosa de la actriz Athina Klioumi, Puccini - Nessun Dorma con la impresionante estrella Shakiya, la pequeña pianista con su piano de juguete Julia Bueno, fusiones de salsa por Lena Burke y melodías rock-sínfonicos por el guitarrista de la película ¨Rock of Ages¨ con Tom Cruise, Brev Sullivan,... fueron todos una sorpresa tras otra.
El sombrero de tres picos de Manuel de Falla fue sublime y añadió aun más magia. La actriz Athina Klioumi interpretando su versión de Scheherezade llevaba joyas extraordinarias de Bvlgari y un vestido de cuento de hadas diseñado por el diseñador de alta costura Ángel Sánchez. Athina apareció en diferentes lugares del mall, narrando los cuentos de 1000 y una noche y se veía como una verdadera princesa. Su aparición era una de cuentos de hada de verdad. Muchos querían un selfie con la princesa y los guardaespaldas estaban pendiente que pudiera narrar sus historias junto a la orquesta. El evento no sólo fue artístico, elegante y entretenido, sino también mágico. Como dijo el fundador Craig Robin en su entrevista con CNN: "Incluso planeamos un poco de lluvia, para que la gente pudiera comprar en las hermosas tiendas cercanas". Niños, adolescentes, adultos y ancianos estaban totalmente encantados. Apenas se pasó la lluvia,
el director Marturet siguió con el fantástico programa y más gente aún inundó el espacio, disfrutando del hermoso concierto hast el final Después de la gran ovación, el maestro, su esposa Athina y sus amigos, visitaron las tiendas y disfrutaron del champán. ¡Qué espíritu, qué noche increíble! Como dijo el Maestro: "Esta es mi idea de llevar música increíble y arte a la gente y el Miami Design District tiene la misma visión. Tan contentos de apoyarlos.
